PLATFORM IMPLEMENTATION
Make.com automation implementation
Make.com scenario design, webhooks, data mapping and monitored integrations, with documented recovery and team handover.
Start with the workflow, then choose Make.com
CompanyConnect designs remote workflow automation for South African and international teams. A Make.com engagement starts with a recurring operating problem: enquiries copied between systems, missing ownership, delayed notifications or records that arrive without the information another team needs. We map the trigger, required decisions, source data and destination before recommending a scenario. If a supported native integration or a simpler configuration meets the need, that option belongs in the comparison. A visual scenario is useful only when the business can operate and maintain it.
Scenario design, webhooks and data mapping
The agreed scope identifies connected applications, required actions, authentication and access dependencies. Deliverables can include a scenario diagram, field mapping, filters, routing rules and documented webhook handling. We confirm actual connector and API support in the selected accounts rather than assuming that an application logo guarantees every action. Mapping specifies required fields, formats, time zones and stable record identifiers. Invalid input needs an explicit destination and an accountable person; it should not silently become a partial customer record.
Monitoring, retries and duplicate controls
Recovery is designed alongside the successful path. We identify which errors can be retried, which require correction and which leave an uncertain write that needs readback before another attempt. Duplicate protection is scoped around stable source identifiers and the destination system’s supported controls. Replaying a failed run must not blindly create a second invoice, task or contact. Acceptance checks cover missing fields, expired access, repeated events and a destination outage. Monitoring responsibilities, alert destinations and escalation steps are agreed before handover.
Illustrative enquiry-to-CRM workflow
Illustrative workflow, not a client outcome: an approved enquiry event enters a webhook, required fields are checked, a stable enquiry ID is looked up, and the agreed CRM action runs only when permitted. An assigned owner receives a task after the CRM result is confirmed. A missing customer identifier goes to a review queue. If the destination times out after a possible write, the operator checks the destination before replaying. The example demonstrates decisions to test; the exact behaviour depends on the connected systems and agreed implementation.
Discovery, pilot and controlled rollout
Discovery produces a short workflow brief with boundaries, access owners and acceptance criteria. Design records the mapping and recovery decisions. A bounded pilot uses approved test data and checks both ordinary and failed paths. The customer team reviews the evidence before rollout to the agreed operating scope. Migration from existing scenarios includes an inventory, dependencies and a cutover plan so that two automations do not process the same event unintentionally. Further workflows are scoped separately rather than assumed to be included.
Security, ownership and support
Access should be granted through customer-controlled accounts with appropriate permissions. Credentials stay out of documentation and enquiry messages. Data sensitivity, retention, execution logs and platform terms need review for the actual configuration. Handover includes scenario notes, a field map, a recovery runbook and operator training. Support scope, change ownership and review arrangements are confirmed in writing. Bring a sanitised workflow description and the systems involved to an initial consultation; do not send passwords or customer records.
